1. Our standard
TapToCast targets conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. We design with EN 301 549 (European Accessibility Act) and U.S. Section 508 in mind.
2. What we do
- Visible focus rings on all interactive elements.
- Skip-to-content link as the first focusable element.
- Semantic landmarks:
header, nav, main, footer. - Colour contrast at least 4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text and UI components.
- Respect for
prefers-reduced-motion: animations reduce to ~1ms. - Touch targets at least 24×24 CSS px (WCAG 2.2 SC 2.5.8).
- Keyboard reachability and operability throughout, including the swipe deck.
- Labels and ARIA roles on icon-only controls.
3. Known gaps
- The swipe deck is keyboard-operable but is primarily designed for touch.
- Auto-playing reel previews are muted and respect
prefers-reduced-motion; an explicit "pause autoplay" global control is on our roadmap. - The Service has not yet undergone a formal third-party audit.
